Ukama Gallery is pleased to introduce Canadian Landscape Artist Joel Mara. Joel's paintings capture the serene beauty and majesty of Canada’s iconic wild places. Painted in a unique style, with a distinctive colour palette, his work radiates tranquility. Colour is a significant key to Joel’s style. Mixing colours is a time consuming process as he continuously searches for new shades. His application is thick and textured: yielding beautifully subtle images with animated surfaces.

The ZIMBABWE SCULPTURE ASSOC IATION is appealing for help. There is no safety net or state aid at present for 100's of sculptors across Zimbabwe. All of our sculptors will be effected by this pandemic, as well as the many others living in cities and remote areas around the country. Ukama Gallery supports this effort and is appealing for others to join with us in acting swiftly to help them and their families cope. No donation is too small. A coordinated crowdfunding page has been created for a collective effort to ensure those most in need and their families are covered – please consider joining with us by visiting the site below:

Monica Gewurz

Born in Lima, Peru, Monica Gewurz immigrated to Canada in 1976 where she obtained her Fine Art Certificate from Emily Carr University in 2014. Her work is inspired by natural formations, interpreting the visual and emotional beauty of the stunning transformations created by nature. Energetic, organic and textural, her jewellery is exquisitely unique.

Patricia Montgomery

Patricia Montgomery's creations are made from a variety of media. Her journey with organic materials led her to working first with pearls eventually incorporating silver, gold and copper. Themes and shapes from nature guide her to create hand-made, artistic and beautiful jewellery.
